Palm beach resort, alappuzha , Kerala.
I have been traveling visiting new places but never thought of posting something on my own website , this is exiting . In 2019 march we planned to travel kerala for 4 days we our journey from mangalore to Alleppey , we reached at 10 am , our first two days we stayed at a beach resort called palm beach resort in Alleppey. we were picked by resort cab , it’s a 20 minutes drive from alleppey railway station to resort , we reached resort and checked inn, all the rooms are sea facing first floor rooms have better view of beach and the dining area , resort has its own restaurant but we booked only rooms and ordered food from outside , though its expensive either ways we did not mind as we were on vacation , resort is located out of the city life , and the area has only res9rts and spa so it’s better to carry basic things , but it’s quiet and peaceful as there are no snacks or restaurants on beach , it’s clean . The location of the resort is perfect, can hear sound of waves from room and its relaxing.
Best time to visit during summer as there are very few tourists . I had a great time
Third day , we booked for a day stay at a house boat , you‘ ll find a variety of tours and travels for booking a houseboat or you can book it online . We started at 11 in the morning with a welcome drink . the service is from 11 to next day 8 am , charges vary depending on the luxury. This was a comfort and luxury houseboat cruise sailing through picture - postcard backwaters of Kerala . The boat had 2 bed rooms with attached bathrooms , a balcony on the first floor with good seating arrangements . They stopped at a place in the afternoon for lunch , food is included in the package . Food was traditional Kerala meals , followed by evening snacks and after snacks they stopped at a point at 5 pm that was disappointing as they turned off air conditioning, rest of the evening was quiet and boarding in the middle of lake . I suggest better to book from morning to evening trip. Next day morning we got freshed and after breakfast we came back at 9 am .
These house boats are safe , big and slow moving . Cruising along the backwaters is memorable experience I strongly recommend to cruise once if you are in Kerala .
As we started our journey back we had a few hours left then we thought to eat and found seagull hotel kochi . This is one of the best restaurants in kochi it has a wide range of products and services to cater the customers . With a beautiful sea view and authentic kerala cusine . That thats a wrap for a wonder trip to kerala .
